Although it has entered the Tool Drawing Office
at a slower pace than in other areas of draughting,
CAD is now commonplace and within some organisations
it is used exclusively.
In
line with our policy of keeping in step with
our customers' requirements we have introduced
CAD into our in-house drawing service.
The production of drawings on CAD is more
expensive on an hourly basis, but the increased
cost is minimised by a reduction in the actual
hours spent on drawing and by making use of
the computer's superiority in calculating.
